My Old Buddy Matt and his girlfriend Sandy popped in for the night... I haven't seen Matt since I was about 13 weeks pregnant with the boys. It's been way too long in between visits, and frankly we think he needs to move. He and Sandy live in good ol' Massachusetts back where I'm from. They travelled all the way down here for the weekend, THE WEEKEND. The drove for literally like 10 hours, for 2 days. We convinced them that driving back tonight was gay. Needless to say, they're sleeping in our office...On an Aerobed. How cool. We love Matt. While Mat & Sandy were here visiting they played with the kids, or should I say the kids were watching Matt & Sandy sleep.
If you notice from the picture, M & S are conked out on the floor while Evan sits patiently by, in his bucket, waiting for them to wake up... just to go on the record, they were not babysitting.
So the girls are doing preeeeetty good. They're still darn cute... And I still like them a WHOLE lot. Not sure when that whole honeymoon period of cuteness wears off, maybe I should ask Jonny... He would probably know. I have to assume they look a lot less adorable when they're screaming at 2am. But of course, I'm just assuming this. I truly have no idea what they look like at 2am, but I have to assume, it's not pretty. The girls got to use their activity and play gym for the first time today. I've been noticing that they have WAY more awake time than they used to have. So I figured I'd use this time to my advantage and entertain them. During their "play time", Will decided he wanted in on this gym action. He layed down right next to the girls and showed them how this playing thing was gonna be done. It was pretty endearing... He played with the toys and then looked at them, and then he got up and walked away. Very short lived, but long enough for me to get the camera... Notice how Noelle looks amazed at his gym playing prowess?
The boys are really good... They're becoming a bit more independent. They still like to holler when someone leaves their playroom, but for the most part they are content to sit and play or watch a video. Their life is ruled by their tummies (just like my Dad) and anytime they are ALL fussy together, we notice it's time to eat again! Go figure. Just like my Dad, when he starts getting fussy, we realize it's almost time for a meal... Will made a discovery the other day that was pretty fun. He got into the Tupperware cabinet. Totally harmless stuff in that cabinet, so I let him play... Then I noticed he was gone... Ack. He was in the cabinet, still playing, but in the cabinet nonetheless. Too cute. Now cleaning it all up, NOT cute. Turns out, I have a TON of tupperware. But it kept him busy for at least an hour... Good deal!
