Oh my goodness! Is it possible that Christmas was really FIVE days ago? How did that happen? That's crazy! It seems like just yesterday... We enjoyed our day SO much. So, So, SO much... It was perfect really. We started our festivities the night before, getting dressed up in our special Christmas pj's, and looking for Santa... Christmas morning this year was so different from last year... All five of the kids were totally into opening the gifts and playing with them right away. Last year it was like pulling teeth to get the boys to open their gifts... Everyone took turns sitting in Daddy's lap and opening their gifts. The kids brought their toys over to Gaga and she got the toys out the box, Poppy videotaped, and I took pictures... Everyone had a job :) It was lots of fun, for everyone. The favorite gifts were:
Evan: Doodle Pro, Piano, & Kitchen
Will: Kitchen, Castle, & Blocks
Jack: Plastic Dinosaurs, Elmo Books, Airplane
Noelle: Stroller, Kitchen, Shopping Cart
Lilley: Kitchen, Doodle Pro, Stroller
As you can see, the Kitchen was a HUGE hit. HUGE. H-U-G-E. My parents lovingly gave that to the kiddos. I swore up and down that it was going to be totally big enough to accommodate the needs of all 5 of the kiddos. I was wrong. We need an addition already!! They absolutely LOVE this thing. It's been a great toy, and we're so happy to have it... Thanks Grandmom & Granddad!!
Now that I've covered all of that...The craziness that has been in my house, has been overwhelming to say the least. I was SO looking forward to the holidays, and now that they're over... I feel like I can finally breathe a sigh of relief and sit down for a bit. Since just before Thanksgiving we've been on a constant rotation of clean, cook, host, feed, clean, cook, host, feed. I now understand why the holidays only come once a year. Anymore than once would kill me. This upcoming Tuesday we're heading to my Parent's house for our last holiday dinner of the season, and then we're done... No more... for awhile...
But enough about me, How was your holiday? Was Santa good to you? :)
